So I had a conversation with Steve Sailer, who has been finding important social facts about American life (& even things of interest to American foreign policy) for a long time without getting any acknowledgment from conservatism. Steve has long been called a racist for the same reason Charles Murray is—the neo-Progressive taboo on IQ research & anything to do with the genetics of race.
Steve holds views that I think most Americans would agree with & just happens to know a lot more than most of us when it comes to the sorts of things an intelligent study of statistics will reveal or clarify—patterns of behavior in America. So here are his views at length, rather than in his usual column style, & with some of my questions & prodding about his overall vision of the two parties, one that wants Americans to be happy, which mostly means middle-class family lives, & one that’s against that way of life & is making people noticeably unhappy.
This is a public service. I look forward to reading it at leisure.
