Glenn Ellmers and I (Chris Wolfe) have recorded a podcast addressing the questions from Willmoore Kendall I asked in my July 4th post. Harry Jaffa, our teacher at Claremont, attempted to answer those questions- and remind Conservatives that equality IS a principle worthy of being conserved in America. Enjoy!

Thanks to Chris for setting this up and leading a great discussion.
Turned out very nicely, guys! Good way to organize it, with those five questions, even if I'd guess that using his own words that way makes Kendall seem dafter than I suspect he is.
I especially liked the early-on discussion on why a real understanding of the Founders doesn't lead one to free-speech absolutism, or its preferred interp of the 1st. Two good books that establish that are Francis Canavan, Freedom of Expression: Purpose as Limit, and esp., David Lowenthal, No Liberty for License. https://www.alibris.com/Freedom-of-Expression-Purpose-as-Limit-Francis-Canavan/book/2451947?matches=4 and https://www.alibris.com/No-Liberty-for-License-The-Forgotten-Logic-of-the-First-Amendment-David-Lowenthal/book/4699540?matches=7
