The young men of the right
Chris Rufo gathered four of his friends for a conversation on American civilization & decline the other evening—this might be your weekend listen.
Along with the youthful Nino Scalia & Nate Hochman, the older Lomez & I represented middle age or GenX. A brief word of introduction: Nino is a political operator in D.C. He’s a friend & a young man I admire. Hochman is a very famous young conservative journalist who has survived cancelation. Together, they’ve started an organization, America2100, about which more in future… Lomez is a pseudonymous cultural entrepreneur—famous as the organizer of the Passage Prize for young writers on the right, he runs Passage Publishing, which publishes dissident writers. I have applauded his work for years—some time back we did a podcast on Fight Club that lays out some of our concerns about young men.
Listen to the conversation, we talk about the past & future both. We also hash out at least a few of the disagreements on the three interrelated questions concerning our American trouble:
What idea of justice will bind us?
Who will lead us?
What new character will be formed by political activity?
